As a th
ank you to members, the Club will treat everyone to lunch! Check out the Lunch Banquet menu on the Crab Louie's website for menu selections. (Ordering from this shorter but still diverse menu facilitates getting group orders to the table at the same time and with everything still hot.) The website is www.crablouies.com. Click on "Banquet" at the top of the page and choose "Lunch Banquet" on the left. If anyone is a vegetarian, I confirmed with the manager that they can accommodate those needs. If any members are bringing guests, there will be a $12 per person charge for their meal.
After we finish eating, there will be a meeting there at the restaurant. The spring test on April 30 and May 1 will be discussed. Nominations for officers will be accepted. The secretary and treasurer will be rotating off in the spring, so members willing to take those positions are especially needed. You may nominate yourself! Feel free to check with the current treasurer, Denise Lodge, and yours truly, the current secretary, for details on what's involved in the job. As an officer, you would serve on the Board.
I hope you can attend, as much planning needs to be done and decisions made to get the ball rolling for the spring test. Crab Louie's has a very good reputation locally. I work at a nearby community college, and Crab Louie's is a favorite destination for departmental lunches, book discussion group holiday meals, etc.
If you have any questions or find the Google or MapQuest directions suspect, please email me for the old fashioned human variety of directions. Crab Louie's is located directly on Route 60 and is very close to Route 288, a beltway around the southern perimeter of the Richmond area.
Looking forward to seeing you on the 23rd!
Helen
